Rudd Field is home to the Elon men's and women's soccer teams and recently received an upgrade of new seating and scoreboard.

The facility has seen the Phoenix play host to some of the best teams in the nation as squads such as North Carolina State, Virginia Tech and Charlotte regularly visit Elon for games.

The Elon men's team has earned top-25 national rankings during its stint at the NCAA Division I level.  The women's program made the first-ever NCAA Division I national tournament appearance in any sport when it won the 1999 Big South Conference Tournament crown.

In recent years, attendance at Elon soccer games has soared as the Phoenix faithful pack around the field to cheer on the maroon and gold.

In 2009, the Phoenix men's program played in front of an average of 898 fans per game.

Take Interstate 85/40 to Exit 140 (University Drive). From southbound I-85/40, exit right and turn right. From northbound I-85/40, exit right and turn left. Stay on University Drive for 1.4 miles and turn right on Highway 70 East/S. Church Street. Take Highway 70 East/S. Church Street to Williamson Avenue (.7 miles). Turn left on Williamson. Follow this road for 1.7 miles. You will cross railroad tracks as you enter the campus area. Cross over Haggard Ave. (with BP gas station on the corner). Continue past Mary Nell Lake on your right. Turn right immediately after the lake onto Phoenix Drive. Take your first left onto Bank of America Drive at the Phoenix Rising statue.
